Support Groups
Sexual Assault Group
No one deserves or provokes sexual assault and it is never the fault of the victim/survivor. You are not to blame for the crime that is committed against you.
If you have survived a sexual assault it is important to be patient with yourself. Healing takes time and is an ongoing process. You can regain a sense of power over your life; reaching out for help is an important first step.
Talking can reduce your feelings of isolation. Talking with others may help you realize that you are not alone, not going crazy and that you will move to better times in your life.
Domestic Assault Group
Friends and family do not usually understand the dynamics of domestic violence and sexual assault. They may feel disappointed that you have not left or let down if you have returned to your abuser. They may not want to recognize that the assault(s) have turned your life upside down.
Learn to keep yourself safe, to respect yourself and how to build healthy relationships with others who know what you are/have been going through.
Domestic assault support groups meet weekly in several counties. Bring the kids. They'll have fun.
Homicide Survivor Support Group
Mission Statement: Our mission as Homicide/Violent Crime Survivor Support Advocates is to assist individuals, families, friends and neighbors through the trauma of violent crime.
Until you've walked a mile in the other's shoes you'll never understand. That's the ground rule. This is a caring, compassionate group of survivors committed to working together to get through some very tough times together.
There are a lot of us out here, who have survived some sort of violence, and at times we are looking for help. A hand reaching out for something to grab hold of...something to help us understand, then to help us heal ourselves and bring peace back into our lives.
Moms Off Meth- Women Helping Women

This is a group of women supporting one another so that they might deal with their unique challenges in their lives with integrity and pride. These challenges include parenting, intimate relationships, grief and loss, fears, housing, information on DHS, the juvenile courts and last but not least friendships.
